CleanDNS recently attended the inaugural IGF Ireland where our Chief Legal Officer, Alan Woods, contributed to the panel on ‘Moving Beyond Compliance’ discussing all things internet governance, policy, and compliance.
This event marked the first time the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was held in Ireland, and CleanDNS was honored to attend and contribute as a part of our ongoing mission to encourage collaboration across and amongst the industry. The event centered on ‘shaping Ireland’s digital future through open dialogue and inclusive governance,’ with sessions covering policy processes, ethical use of AI, geopolitics, and more.
As our Chief Legal Officer and a Dublin local himself, Alan Woods took to the microphone alongside other industry leaders and subject matter experts for the ‘Moving Beyond Compliance’ panel. This discussion explored how companies and public bodies can go beyond the tick-box and develop forward-thinking policies that champion ethical and responsible innovation. Alan represented CleanDNS on the panel, discussing the importance of proper processes and best practices in compliance concerning DNS Abuse management and more. As always, CleanDNS continues to emphasize evidence-based escalations and the importance of the appropriate action taken (or not taken), by the appropriate party, at the appropriate time in abuse remediation efforts.
CleanDNS is honored to have participated in the inaugural IGF Ireland, and contribute to conversations surrounding abuse management, compliance, disruption, best practices, and policy. We look forward to continuing these conversations and hope to attend another IGF Ireland in the future!
