Let’s make the Internet safer for everyone, together.

Today is Safer Internet Day 2025, and CleanDNS encourages organizations and individuals alike to do their part in making the Internet a better, safer place for all users. CleanDNS is on a mission to reduce victimization of online harms, working with registries, registrars, infrastructure providers and more to evidence and swiftly mitigate abusive domains. This Safer Internet Day, CleanDNS is sharing resources for protecting young Internet users, as well as recommendations for cross-industry abuse management best practices and more. CleanDNS also invites nonprofit organizations, cybersecurity companies, researchers, and more to join our global Reporter Program and submit evidenced reports of abuse and online harms. Work to make the Internet safer for young users, and to reduce victimization of online harms.
On this year’s #SaferInternetDay we encourage you to do your part in making the Internet a better place for all, especially young users. CleanDNS is a proud to be a member of the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) who is doing impactful and vital work in the global fight against online harms against children. As a proud member of the IWF, CleanDNS encourages you to take a moment today learn about the IWF’s mission including their recent #ThinkBeforeYouShare campaign, which aims to open a dialogue between parents and teens on the dangers of sharing explicit photos amongst young people, as well as the harmful normalization of the sharing of their own and others’ explicit images.

Cross-industry collaboration for abuse management best practices is essential.
In late November 2024, CleanDNS and Abusix announced the Secure Internet Pledge, a cross-industry initiative championing the accountability, transparency, and collaboration of domain name and hosting industry organizations to create a safer online environment for all. The Pledge is built on the pillars of core abuse management practices, enhanced security and support, and transparent policies and processes, aimed towards the shared mission of championing best practices in the fight against online harms.

The CleanDNS Reporter program allows you to be a part of the streamlined mitigation of evidenced abusive domains. Around the world, cybersecurity companies, non-profits, governments, researchers, and individuals partner with CleanDNS and submit reports to help mitigate online harms quickly and efficiently. By submitting actionable, well-evidenced reports, organizations and individuals alike contribute to the mission of making the Internet a better, safer place for all.
